Remembering when analyzing film, start with the thought… what is the film communicating in terms of a theme/subject matter.

Subject matter/theme is the /seed of the story/point of the story/meaning/expression.  Now that you have the subject matter, think about how you going to explain the theme/subject matter using the terms you are reading in your chapter.

Remember to be descriptive and support your thoughts through what you saw in the film…not what you feel.  Don’t forget to use your terms to support your responses!!!!!!!
